NOTICE OF EXAMINATION

POLICE OFFICER

 

 

The Board of Police Commissioners of the Village of Willowbrook, Illinois gives notice of examination to fill future vacancies for the position of police officer.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Under 35 years of age on September 24, 2010, except as otherwise provided by statute; Must be 21 years of age at time of original appointment to the police department

  2. Vision correctable to 20/20 with normal depth perception and no color blindness that would prevent the individual from performing the essential functions of the job

  3. United States citizen

  4. Weight proportionate to height

  5. Possess a four (4) year bachelor degree from an accredited college or university, by September 24, 2010

OR 

Sixty (60) hours of credit from an accredited college or university, have completed the minimum Standards Basic Law Enforcement Training Course as provided by the Illinois Police Training Act, and have two (2) years employment as a full-time, certified Illinois police officer.  You must meet these qualifications by September 24, 2010.

  

Starting Salary:

 

$55,169

The examination is scheduled to commence with a mandatory orientation session which is to be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Willowbrook Holiday Inn, East Ballroom; and the written examination to begin at 7:15 p.m. on that same date.  Dates and times for subsequent portions of the examination will be announced at that time.

 

Complete application and supporting documentation are to be returned in person, by certified mail, or by overnight courier to the Willowbrook Village Hall, 7760 Quincy Street, Willowbrook, IL no later than 4:00 p.m. on September 24, 2010
