The Westmont Illinois Police Department is currently accepting applications for Police Officers to establish an eligibility list.

Minimum Requirements:

• $25 non-refundable application fee

• U.S. Citizenship

• No Felony Convictions or any convictions for "moral turpitude"

• High School Diploma or GED (Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement (Criminal Justice) or Bachelor's Degree in any field preferred)

• Valid Driver's License

• 21 to under 35 years of age as of July 25, 2009 unless otherwise exempt by Statute

• Residency required within DuPage County OR counties contiguous to DuPage County, which include Cook County, Kane County, Kendall County and Will County by the end of 18 month probationary period

• Physically able to perform the duties of a police officer

• Submission of Online Application and Requested Documents by NOON on July 8, 2009

• Military service a plus

NOON on Wednesday, July 8, 2008 OR when 325 applications have been received.

Testing consists of a written exam and physical ability test.
