In order to qualify to participate in the examination process, police applicants must apply in person

at the Westchester village hall and must:

1. Be at least 21 years of age and under 35 years of age (unless otherwise provided by statute)

2. Be a citizen of the United States

3. Have a minimum Associates Degree or 60 hours from an accredited college or university OR be a State Certified Police Officer

4. Possess a valid drivers license

Those candidates deemed as most qualified will be invited to continue in the eligibility process by the Board of Fire and Police Commission.  This process will include a thorough background investigation, oral interview, psychological exam and polygraph exam.
