Essential Duties:

• Supervise campus cadets on assigned shifts 

• Maintain good rapport with students, staff and public and local law enforcement officers 

• Provide traffic control functions when necessary 

• Investigate criminal complaints and review complainants and witnesses 

• Maintain order at activities held on campus assigned hours 

• Possible weekends and evening, and midnight hours 

• Work at Sugar Grove, Aurora and/or Copley campus

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Valid Illinois driver's license required

• Proof of a completed basic police training program that is recognized by the State of Illinois required

• Must be 21 years of age or older and of good moral character with no previous arrest record

• Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred

Note:

This is a full time, temporary position that will end in December 2009.  This position does not include benefits.

Waubonsee Community College officers are prohibited from carrying firearms.
