Police Chief - University Park, Illinois
The Village of University Park, Illinois (pop. 8,222) has an immediate opening for Police Chief.
Under the direction of the Village Manager, the Police Chief is responsible for the operation, direction, and supervision of sworn and civilian personnel in the preservation of peace, order and security within our municipality. The Police Chief is responsible for formulating and implementing policies and procedures pertinent to the effective operation of the department.
Minimum qualifications include Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or must have 7 years related experience.
Salary:
$85,000 - $100,000
The Police Department has 26 employees of which 22 are sworn officers. Our central dispatch system (EASTCOM) is located in Crete, IL.
