The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the Village of University Park are now accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.


The University Park Police Departmentís mission is to provide the community with professional police services in a partnership with the citizens while respecting the rights and dignity of all persons.  They demonstrate their commitment in protecting and serving their citizens while providing the quality of life identified for a safe and growing village.

You must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Citizenship:  Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Driverís License:  Must possess a valid Driverís License at the time of application with the ability to obtain an Illinois Driverís License upon time of hire

  • Age Requirement:  Applicants must have attained their 21st birthday and be under the age of 35 years old at the last date of filing applications (04/02/15) and at such time as the Final Eligibility is posted, unless they have been certified as a full-time police officer in the United States, or are otherwise exempt by State Statute 65 IL 5/10-2.1-6

  • Education:  Must have proof of High School Diploma, GED Certificate or High School Proficiency Statement

  • Residence:  Permanent residency in Illinois must be established within (30) mile radius of the University Park Village Hall within one year of your employment date

  • Testing:  Must be able to successfully complete all phases of testing

All individuals meeting eligibility requirements are encouraged to continue with the application process.
