The mission of the UIC Police Department is to promote and maintain public security and order in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the United States and the state of Illinois and to promote a sense of safety and well being in the campus community.
The UIC Police Department seeks a full-time (40 hours/week) Police Officer. The Police Officers safeguard lives and personal property by enforcing applicable State statutes, city or county ordinances, and university regulations. Police Officers typically patrol assigned areas, investigate incidents, make arrests, and respond in emergency public safety situations.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
Applicants must be able to successfully pass a physical fitness test, written, and oral board examination; as well as a medical evaluation, drug test, and a psychological evaluation. Passing the exam and being on the eligibility list is not an offer or guarantee of employment.
