Tri-Com Central Dispatch is accepting applications for the position of Telecommunicator.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Minimum age requirement of 18 years old

• Education and experience equivalent to a high school degree

• Ability to speak clear and articulate English

• Full range of hearing in both ears

• Type accurately 40 WPM (typing test must be passed in order to proceed with testing and interview process)

Desirable Qualifications:

• Previous experience in public-safety dispatching

• Multi-line telephone equipment experience

• Fast paced, computerized customer service experience

• Flexibility, split ear, and multi-tasking skills are paramount

Mandatory testing will take place the week of March 14-18, 2011.  Exact days and times will be announced after application deadline.

$35.00 non-refundable testing fee is due with completed application; payment by personal check ($25.00 returned check fee), cashier's check, money order.  Credit or debit card payments may be made at our website through PayPal.  A $2.00 service charge applies.
