CAD SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR TRI-COM CENTRAL DISPATCH
Tri-Com Central Dispatch is accepting applications for the position of CAD System Administrator. Tri-Com is a consolidated 9-1-1 center, providing 9-1-1 police and fire dispatch services to St Charles, Geneva, Batavia and Elburn. The center employs 22 people and serves a population of approximately 125,000 residents.
The CAD Systems Administrator works under the direction of the Executive Director and is responsible managing, maintaining, and operating all components of Tri-Com’s computer aided dispatch (CAD) system hardware and software, including interfaces. This includes, but is not limited to, routine maintenance, keyboard entry of data, coordinating updates to the GIS database and map, troubleshooting problems and installing software updates.
Candidates should possess an Associate’s degree in computer science or a related field, plus 3 years of experience and demonstrated knowledge of methods and principles of managing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading a public safety computer aided dispatch (CAD) system and associated software (preferably a Motorola CAD system).
Candidates must have a minimum of four (4) years of multi-discipline (police, fire, & EMS) public safety dispatch experience or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Full-access certification LEADS (Law Enforcement Data System) is desirable.
Final candidate will be required to successfully pass a medical exam, drug screening, psychological test, personality profile and an extensive background check.
The salary range is:
$57,007 - $73,266
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
