Police Records Division Manager - Full-Time

 

 

This civilian position is responsible for supervising the Police Records staff to assure accurate report and record processing and filing systems including incidents, arrests, accidents, contracts, forms, and correspondence.  This position is responsible for planning, coordinating and maintaining operations in accordance with laws, requirements, and practices of modern police administration.  This position serves as a liaison with the Police Operations Division to ensure a high degree of cooperation and efficient operation and with the Tri-Com director in all matters pertaining to records.  Act as the Police Department FOIA Officer. This position also manages and maintains various computer systems utilized by the department.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have thorough knowledge of principles and practices of modern police administration and strong supervisory skills to effectively manage and supervise full-time and part-time employees.

  • Ability and willingness to receive, handle, and complete confidential submissions, records, reports, and data with utmost honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.

  • Ability to exercise professional and independent judgment to plan work, make decisions, and recommend solutions.

  • Possessing strong organizational skills and written and interpersonal communication skills is a must.

  • Strong computer skills including Windows, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Adobe, and other software programs, and applications is a must. 

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in business, law enforcement (or a related field), or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum five (5) years of police or law enforcement administration is preferred along with a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.

 

Salary:

 

Starting salary will be commensurate with experience.
