The Springfield Park District is accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies for the position of FT Police Officer & current vacancies for PT Officers.

Qualifications for this position include:

• HS Diploma

• A current, valid IL driver’s license

• Strong interpersonal skills in effectively communicating with the public.

• A criminal conviction free record.

• Must be able to possess a valid F.O.I.D. card.

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age & a U.S. citizen.

• Must be able to pass the IL P.O.W.E.R test, a medical/physical exam, drug screening, a written exam & a background investigation and ability to work as a member of a team.

• Must reside within Sangamon County within the first six months of hire.
