The South Holland Police Department is now accepting applications for the Deputy Marshal Program (Part-time Police Members).

• Applicants must be 21 years of age

• Applicants must be currently certified as either a full time or part time peace officer in the State of Illinois

• Indiana applicants may be considered if approved by the Illinois Training and Standards Board

• High School diploma or GED is required

• Applicants must pass a comprehensive background investigation

• Applicants must be able to work 16 hours per month to include evenings and weekends

Applicants must have high moral standards, be courteous and maintain strong ethical values.  Some positions are seasonal (May-November).

Duties include:

• Patrolling Village parks

• Working events

• Traffic control

• Other patrol functions as necessary 

Pay rate:

$16.00 per hour
