The Shorewood Police and Fire Commission will be accepting applications for the position of patrol officer to the Shorewood Police Department.

All applications must be completed in full and returned no later than Monday, October 3, 2011 before 12:00 pm. There will be a $25.00 non-refundable fee for the application packet.

Applicants must:

• Be United States citizens

• Have a high school education or it’s equivalent

• Not have been convicted of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude

• Have a good driving record

• Be at least 21 years of age and under 35 years of age, at the time of application, and of such time as the final eligibility list is posted, unless exempt from such age limitation as provided in section 5/10-2.1-6 of the Fire and Police Commissioner’s Act; Proof of birth date will be required at the time of application
