The Village of Schiller Park is accepting applications for the purpose of establishing an eligibility list for the position of FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, but less that 35 years of age on December 11, 2009 (applicants who are 20 years of age and have successfully completed two years of fire science studies at an accredited college or university and are licensed Paramedics may be eligible to apply)

  • All applicants must be licensed as a Paramedic or Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois at time of application

 

Appointment to the eligibility list will be based on a written, physical agility, and oral exam.  Final determination will be made upon completion of a psychological, polygraph, and medical examination.  Cooperation with a background check is also required.

Written examination is to be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010.

 

A physical agility test will be conducted on Sunday, January 31, 2010.

 

Oral interviews will be conducted on the last week of February 2010.
