Village of Schaumburg Police Department is seeking a

Crime Prevention Specialist. 

Responsibilities for the position include development, implementation, assessment and evaluation of crime prevention and community relations based programs ensuring accurate handling of community concerns regarding crime prevention; analyze crime prevention programs to develop plans for future growth and success; coordinate crime prevention programs and seminars with the community and businesses, and manage the department volunteer program.  

Qualified candidates will have an Associates degree, Bachelors degree preferred, with prior experience in a law enforcement agency, preferably in the field of Crime Prevention/Community Relations.  Excellent oral and written communication skills, working knowledge of various computer programs, experience in public speaking and presentations and the ability to work effectively with the public.

 
Excellent benefits with a starting salary in the upper $30’s to low $40’s DOQ.
