The Board of Police Commissioners of the Village of Round Lake Park is seeking applicants for the purpose of creating a Police Officer Eligibility List.

COMPLETION and SUBMISSION of an ONLINE APPLICATION by NOON on July 1, 2009.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• $35 non-refundable application fee

• U.S. Citizenship

• No Felony Convictions

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid Driver's License

• 21 to under 35 years of age as of July 1, 2009 unless otherwise exempt by Statute

• Submission of Online Application and requested documentation by noon on July 1, 2009

ORIENTATION AND TESTING:

Attend Orientation, Written Exam and Physical Aptitude Evaluation on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at:

Round Lake High School

800 N. High School Drive

Round Lake, IL

Orientation begins at 9 a.m.; arrive by 8:30 a.m. with

a valid Driver's License or State ID to sign in.

PREFERENCE POINTS:

Candidates on the Initial Eligibility List may apply for a maximum of 5 preference points.

To qualify, you must have one of the following:

• 1 year of net active military service with honorable discharge

• Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement

• Bachelor's Degree in any field

• Certification from the Illinois Local Governmental Law Enforcement Officers Training and Standards Board.
