The Village of Roselle, IL (population 23,115) seeks a full-time Records and Communications Supervisor in the Police Department.  Roselle is located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.  This uniformed civilian supervisory position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Police Records and Communications Center, including collection, organization, retention, and retrieval of all police records and police/fire/emergency services dispatching. 
 


Major responsibilities include:

  • Supervising

  • Directing and coordinating records and communications activities

  • Personnel development

  • Developing policies and procedures

  • Budget preparation

  • Maintaining various law enforcement databases

 

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A Bachelorís Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience

  • L.E.A.D.S Certification (or capable of acquiring within one year) as issued by the State of Illinois

  • Prior experience in law enforcement related records or communications field, including supervisory or management experience is desirable

  • Strong written and oral communications skills are essential 
     

The salary range for the position is $52,755 - $72,178 and the Village offers comprehensive benefits.  Starting salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
