The application
deadline is April 18, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.
You must meet the
following minimum requirements:
$25 non-refundable
application processing fee;
U.S. Citizenship;
Valid Driver’s License;
20 to 34 years of age, unless otherwise exempt by statute;
o Applicants age 20 must have successful completion of 2 years of law
enforcement studies at an accredited college or university
High School Diploma or
Equivalent (GED);
Must have an Associate’s
Degree OR a Bachelor’s Degree in any field from an accredited
college/university;
o Educational Requirement can be waived for 24 months of active military
service/180 days of active duty in the United States Armed Forces in combat duty
recognized by the Department of Defense with an honorable discharge
No felony convictions;
Candidates must
successfully pass a written exam battery, oral interview, background check,
polygraph, psychological evaluation, and drug screen pursuant to all applicable
provisions of the Rules and Regulations of the Village of Rockton Fire and
Police Commission.
All portions of the testing process are mandatory. Failure to attend and
complete any portion of the process will result in elimination from employment
consideration.
Written Exam/Orientation Information:
Saturday, May 19, 2018
Testing will take place in Rockton, IL. The exact testing location will be
provided to eligible candidates approximately one week prior to the date of the
written exam.
Sign-in begins at 8:30 a.m.
You are required to arrive at the testing location no later than 9:00 a.m. with
photo identification (valid driver’s license or State ID) to sign-in. NO LATE
ADMITTANCE.
