Applications must be returned to the Rochelle Police Department no later than 8:00 a.m., Monday, September 20, 2010. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

 

 

Orientation/Physical Agility/Written Testing

 

A mandatory Orientation and physical agility test will be held at:

 

Rochelle Township High School

1401 E. Flagg Road

Rochelle, IL

 

Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.

 

A written test will immediately follow the physical agility testing for those applicants who successfully complete the physical agility test. Wear appropriate attire for the physical agility test. Applicants who successfully complete the written test will be scheduled for an oral interview at a later date.

 

 

Qualifications

  1. United States Citizen

  2. 21-35 years of age

  3. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  4. Valid Drivers License

  5. No Felony or Misdemeanor Crimes of Moral Turpitude Convictions

 

Appointment to Service

 

Applicants with passing grade of 70% or more are posted in their respective positions in order of their excellence as determined by examination. Appointments are tendered to the highest applicant on the eligibility list for Police Officer after successful completion of an in-depth background investigation, psychological examination, polygraph examination, and a physical examination including drug testing.
