FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC

Immediate Opening

The Village of River Forest Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will be conducting examinations for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic for the Village of River Forest, Illinois.
 

SALARY

Starting salary for probationary Firefighter/Paramedics

beginning May 1, 2008:

• $45,566 + 6.1% of top Fire/Paramedic Salary currently at $4,472

• After four (4) years of service, base salary $75,876 + $4,628

Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and not over 35 years old at time of application

• Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, or provide proof of intention to become a citizen

• Applicants must possess, as a condition of employment:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Valid, current Paramedic License

  • Valid Driver’s License
     

Additional requirements and information concerning the testing schedule and procedures, qualification requirements, salary and benefits are included in the application packet. A non-refundable processing fee of $15.00 will be charged for the application packet upon return.
