The Village of River Forest Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will be conducting examinations for the position of Police Officer for the Village of River Forest, Illinois.

Applications can be obtained at:

River Forest Municipal Complex, 2^nd Floor

400 Park Avenue

River Forest, Illinois

Applications are available for pickup and return

August 29^th thru September 16^th 2005, during the following hours:

Mondays:

8 AM to 7 PM

Tuesday – Friday:

8 AM to 4:30 PM

All applications must be returned by 4:30 PM September 16^th in person or by Mail.

1. Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, or provide proof of intention to become a citizen.

2. As a condition of employment:  Applicants must possess either a four-year Bachelor’s degree or a two-year degree in Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice from an accredited College or University.

3. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and not over 35 years old at time of application.

4. Information concerning the testing procedure, qualifications, salary and benefits are included in the application packet.

5. A nonrefundable processing fee of $15.00 will be charged for the application packet.
