The Pontiac Police and Fire Commission conduct examinations to establish an eligibility list from which Probationary Police Officers are hired from.

The testing process will began with a MANDATORY Orientation Session on Wednesday, January 11, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the training room at the Pontiac Police Department. FAILURE TO ATTEND THIS ORIENTATION SESSION WILL PREVENT FURTHER TESTING.
The Physical Agility Test is Saturday, January 14, 2011 at 9:00 a.m., at the Pontiac Rec Center, 900 North Elm Street, Pontiac, Illinois. The Written Test will be held after the physical agility test at this same location.

A non-refundable $25.00 testing fee must be paid at the time the pre-application packet is returned. The completed pre-application packet must be returned to the Pontiac Police Department no later than Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.
