The City of Northlake is accepting applications for the position of full-time and/or part-time Police Telecommunicator.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the operation of sophisticated radio and telephone networks, processing 9-1-1 emergency calls and other related duties.

Full-time position includes full benefits with vacation.

Requirements:

• At least 20 years of age

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

• Pass extensive background investigation, including polygraph and psychological evaluations

• Pass physical exam, including drug screen

• Have ability to speak clear articulate English

• Must be able to work rotating shifts

• Must possess a valid Illinois drivers license

• Possess basic computer skills

• Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment

• Experience desirable, but not necessary

• Bilingual in Spanish, highly desirable
