Village of Mundelein has an opening for a part-time Telecommunicator to dispatch Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Service Units, monitor fire band for mutual aid calls, answer incoming 9-1-1 calls, and radio communications directed to Police Department.  Dispatcher will monitor radio traffic to keep appraised of field situations.




  • A high school degree or equivalent is required

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including L.E.A.D.S. & EMD

  • Two years previous experience desired

  • Must work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays

  • Must remain calm in emergency situations

  • Prospective interviewees must pass a job related skills assessment prior to interview

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background investigation, drug screen and psychological evaluation


Starting base pay $26.50/hour
