Village of Mundelein has an opening for a full time Telecommunicator to dispatch Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Service Units, monitor fire band for mutual aid calls, answer incoming 9-1-1 calls, and radio communications directed to Police Department. Monitor radio traffic to keep appraised of field situations. A high school degree or equivalent is required. Two years previous experience desired. Must work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays. Must remain calm in emergency situations. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background investigation and drug screen. Starting salary $36,601 with excellent fringe benefits.
