The Village of Mundelein is seeking applicants for the creation of an eligibility roster for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic.

Applicants must:

• Be between the age of 21 and not have achieved 35 years of age (or otherwise eligible per Illinois Compiled Statute)

• Be in good health

• Possess a valid drivers’ license

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required

• Applicants must hold a current Illinois Department of Public Health (I.D.P.H) Licensure as a Paramedic at the time of a conditional offer of employment, but is not required for testing

Applications are available beginning April 12, 2010 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday at:

Applicants must appear in person, produce a valid photo ID and will only receive 1 application.  

The department will conduct 2 orientation sessions to review all aspects of the testing process on

Tuesday April 27, 2010 @ 7 p.m. and

Saturday May 1, 2010 @ 9 a.m. at:

ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY AT ONLY ONE OF THE SESSIONS. APPLICATIONS WILL BE TURNED IN AT EITHER SESSION.  DOORS WILL CLOSE PROMPTLY AT THE DESIGNATED TIMES AND LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED.   We encourage spouses or significant others to attend.

A study guide for the written examination will be available for purchase at either orientation session for a fee of $10.00 – only cash will be accepted.
