The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of Mokena will be accepting applications and conducting the examination process for the purpose of establishing an eligibility register to fill Patrol Officer positions with the Mokena Police Department.

Starting Salary:

$47,697

as of 7/1/2008 (new contract pending)

Application requirements include, but are not limited to:

• AGE:

  • Minimum - 20 years of age (Limitations apply - See ILCS 5/10 2.1 6)

  • Maximum - under 35 years of age (Exceptions apply, See ILCS 5/10 2.1 6 & 14)

• EDUCATION:

  • Associate Degree or 60 college/university credit hours

• CITIZENSHIP:

  • Must be a United States Citizen

• DRIVER QUALIFICATION:

  • Valid license at time of appointment

Employment requires successful completion of all examinations, medical evaluation, extensive background investigation, and training.
