The Midlothian Fire and Police Commission will be accepting applications for the position of patrol officer to the Midlothian Police Department.

Midlothian, IL

Weekdays:  9:00 AM until 5:00 PM

And Saturdays:  9:00 AM until Noon

Beginning Tuesday, July 6, 2004

All applications must be completed correctly and in full and returned no later than 5:00 PM on Monday, July 19, 2004.  There will be a $25 non-refundable processing fee payable at the time the application is picked up to partially cover the cost of the physical ability and written testing.

• Applicants must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and not over thirty-five (35) years of age at time of appointment 

• Must be a U. S. Citizen

• Must be of sound physical and mental condition

• Must be a High School Graduate or equivalent

• Applicants must meet all other eligibility requirements as provided by the State Statute and Village of Midlothian Fire and Police Commission Rules and Regulations 

• Must possess a current driver’s license in good standing

• Applicants must pass physical ability test, written examination, oral interview and, upon offer of employment, pass a physical examination by the Fire and Police Commission Physician or a Physician designated by the Police Department 

• Mandatory appearance by the application at orientation meeting, which is to be held on July 23, 2004 at 7:30 PM in the Village of Midlothian Council Chambers, is required prior to the physical ability examination 

• The physical ability testing will be held on July 24, 2004 at 8:00 AM at Bremen High School, 15203 S. Pulaski, Midlothian, Illinois.
