A Patrol Deputy performs a variety of complex law enforcement duties. A deputy enforces Federal and State laws, and County ordinances for the protection of life, health, safety, welfare and property. 

The Merit Commission will hold a mandatory orientation session and testing beginning at 8:00 a.m. on 6/4/11 at:

Woodstock, IL 60098 

Registration is required.

Eligibility requirements are as follows:

• Twenty-one (21) years of age (no maximum)

• A high school graduate or GED

• A United States Citizen

• Possess a valid drivers license

• Residency required for a take-home squad car

• Copy of birth certificate

• Copy of driver's license

• Copy of high school diploma or GED certificate and transcripts

• Copies of any higher education transcripts or degrees, if applicable

• Copy of DD214, if applicable
