The Board of Police Commissioners of the City of McHenry is seeking applicants for the purpose of creating a Police Officer Eligibility List.

A $25.00 non-refundable administrative and processing fee is required before an application can be obtained. 

Completed applications will be accepted at the City of McHenry Administration Department NO LATER than Friday, June 17, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident

• Be at least 21 years of age and under 35 at the time of application

• Possess a Bachelor Degree or an Associate Degree with at least 2 years previous law enforcement experience or an Honorable Discharge from military service

• Possess a valid Illinois driver’s license

• Have no felony convictions

• Have no misdemeanor arrests pertaining to domestic violence

• Meet other criteria as established by the Police Commission

A MANDATORY ORIENTATION SESSION, FOLLOWED BY PHYSICAL AND WRITTEN EXAMINATIONS FOR ALL QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE HELD ON:

• $52,429 to $80,948 after 7 years
