The Village of Maywood, Illinois, a leading suburb located 5 miles west of
Chicago with a population of approximately 25,000, is currently seeking an
experienced, dedicated professional for the position of Chief of Police.
Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice or related field with the combination of
training, education and experience.
experience in law enforcement command.
Must be a
proven supervisor/administrator with leadership skills, knowledge of police
procedures, and high ethical standards.
certification as a police officer with the State of Illinois Training Board.
Command School or National Academy graduate.

staffing, directing and providing leadership.

Records Division, and Impounds, Dispatching, Photo Enforcement, Asset
Forfeiture, Department Equipment and Vehicles, Property and Building

Liaison to all Task Force Operatives.

Police must reside within a community within a 15 mile circumference of the
Village limits within 6 months of appointment.
The current salary is $107,000, contingent upon qualifications, along with an
excellent fringe benefit package.
