The City of Marengo Board of Fire and Police Commission will be accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.

To qualify: 

• Applicants must be a United States Citizen.

• Possess a valid Illinois driver's license. 

• Have a high school diploma or GED.

• Minimum of 21 years of age at time of testing or maximum of 34 years of age to apply, unless the applicant meets certain Statutory Exceptions.  Applicants 20 years of age may apply if they have successfully completed two years law enforcement at an accredited college or university and be 21 years of age at time of appointment. 
   

Starting salary is $34,070 a year plus benefit package (Note:  Salary and benefits may be adjusted after current contract negotiations are completed).
