The Village of Manhattan is currently accepting applications for police officers.

Minimum requirements:

• U.S. citizenship

• No felony convictions

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid driver's license

• Minimum of 20 years of age as of March 5, 2008; Must be under 35 as of date of hire unless otherwise exempt by statute. Candidates under 21 years of age at time of application must have successfully completed a minimum of two (2) years of law enforcement studies at an accredited college or university to be eligible.

• No residency requirement

• Submission of online application and all requested documentation (see checklist) by noon on March 5, 2008

• $25 non-refundable application fee
