Part–Time Community Service Officer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Enforces Village ordinances and regulations.

2. Attends to court and is liaison on behalf of the Village.

3. Operates traffic control in high traffic areas as needed.

4. Responsible for animal control services for Village.

5. Enforces parking laws and restrictions as directed.

Required Skills/Education/Experience:

• A minimum of 18 years of age

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record

• Experience in public service or a related field preferred

• Physical strength and agility for moderate lifting

• Ability to work different shifts and in varying weather conditions

• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with Village staff

• Deal effectively with a wide variety of situations and problems

• Accurately report incidents

• Clearly and diplomatically communicate with the public

Pay Range:

Wage is $16.57 an hour, 20 to 24 hours per week. Residency is not required for this position. This is a part-time, non-union position.
