The Village of Lincolnwood is seeking qualified women and men for the position of Police Officer

Qualifications...

  • Applicants must be 21 years of age by the test date, but no more than 34 years of age.  Applicants who are currently police officers, or have previously been police officers, may be exempt from the 34-year age limit.

  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States.  (If a naturalized citizen, a copy of naturalization paper/s must be included with the application.)

  • Valid driver's license.  (A photocopy of DL must be included with the application.)

  • High School Diploma or GED.  (A photocopy of diploma or GED must be included with the application.)

  • Excellent Moral Character

An Orientation will be held on February 24, 2005 at 7:00 P.M.:

Orientation is NOT mandatory.  Applications will be available at the orientation and at the Lincolnwood Police Department beginning the week of February 25, 2005.

  • The deadline for submitting an application is March 16, 2005, 4:00 P.M..  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Applications must be notarized.  A $20.00 non-refundable processing fee will be collected upon return of the application.

  • The written examination will be held Sunday, April 3, 2005, 9:00 A.M. at:

Niles North High School - Cafeteria

Skokie, IL

  • The P.O.W.E.R. Test will be conducted Sunday April 3, 2005, immediately following the posting of written exam scores at Niles North High School, for those applicants who pass the Written Examination.
