Entry-Level Firefighter/Paramedic Village of Lake Zurich – Fire Rescue Department
The Lake Zurich Fire Rescue Department is a municipal department serving the Village of Lake Zurich as well as a surrounding rural area known as the Lake Zurich Rural Fire Protection District. This district encompasses portions of Kildeer, Hawthorn Woods, Deer Park, North Barrington and unincorporated areas in Ela, Cuba, and Fremont Townships. The entire service area is 25 square miles and covers approximately 41,000 residents.
The Department works out of four stations. The three District stations operate as jump companies, these are three person crews running either an engine or an ambulance based upon the type of call. Station 1 operates an Engine or Aerial and the shift commander.
