KANE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

DEPUTY CORRECTIONS OFFICER

 

              

Beginning September 20 thru October 6, applications will be handed out Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM at:

 

Kane County Government Center

Building A, Room 103

Geneva, IL 60134

 

The completed applications must be returned by 4:30 PM on October 8.

 

There is a $25 application fee (cash only), and only 300 applications will be handed out.

Benefits: 

  • Starting pay of $41,124 up to $63,168 after six years

Requirements Include:         

  • Be at least 21 at time of placement on eligibility list   

  • No upper age limit restriction applies

  • Satisfactorily complete written and oral testing          

  • Have a high school diploma or GED

  • Eyesight correctable to 20/20, free of color blindness

  • Possess a valid driver’s license

  • Pass background investigation and polygraph test      

  • Meet job related physical requirements

  • Must be a citizen of the United States                

  • Pass psychological and medical evaluation

  • Reside in Kane, DeKalb, DuPage, Kendall, McHenry, Will, or Cook County within 18 months after hire
