NOTICE OF EXAMINATION FOR PATROL OFFICER

 

 

The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of Justice, Illinois, announces an examination for a Patrol Officer position. This position will require new patrol officer testing. 

 

 

Salary:

 

Starting salary is $52,829.00 and

may increase up to $77,835.00 after seven years of employment

 

 

Application forms and general information are available commencing March 5, 2018 through midnight March 16, 2018 at:

 

Office of the Village Clerk

7800 S. Archer Road

Justice, Illinois

 

during normal business hours

 

During the application period, applications may be submitted to the Police Department after 4:00 p.m. Completed applications must be returned to the Clerk’s office no later than 4:00 p.m., March 21, 2018.  There is a $100.00 non-refundable charge for the application.

 

 

Applicants must:

  • Be United States citizens

  • Be at least 21 years of age and under 35 years of age (except as permitted by statute)

  • Be in good physical and mental condition

 

Applicants must attend a Mandatory Orientation at:

 

6:15 PM

 

March 28, 2018

 

 

Applicants must later take and pass the following examinations and tests: physical, written and oral examinations, medical examination, psychological and polygraph examinations, and a background examination.

 

Additional details and requirements are set forth in the application forms and information packet that will accompany the application forms.

 

Details regarding the physical test will be provided to candidates at Mandatory Orientation.
