The Village of Itasca is a suburb of Chicago, located approximately 7 miles west of O’Hare Airport in DuPage County. There are 8,600 Residents. A Large Business and Industrial base increases the daytime population to over 50,000 people. The Itasca Police Department is authorized for 28 full time officers. Command positions include 1 Chief of Police, 2 Deputy Chiefs, and 6 Sergeants.
Candidates must be a U.S. citizen at least 21 years of age and under the age of 35, and possess an Associates degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement from an accredited Illinois college or a Bachelor degree from an accredited national college or university.
Candidates who have been certificated officers for five years must be under the age of 40 and meet the same educational requirements.
