At least 18 years of
age, a citizen of the United States and possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Qualified candidates
will have a strong work ethic and sense of duty and responsibility, and be
able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to handle
confidential material in a discreet manner
Ability to respond
accurately and promptly to multiple tasks simultaneously under stressful
conditions
Successfully complete
a thorough background investigation and after receiving a conditional offer of
employment, be able to successfully pass a drug screening
Preference given to
applicants with police dispatch experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answering emergency
and non-emergency calls for service and assign/dispatch appropriate personnel
Knowledge and
maintenance of local and state records
LEADS (Law Enforcement
Agencies Data System) certification
Monitor police and
fire radios
Work schedule to
include weekdays, weekends, holidays and various other shift combinations to
fill vacancies as they occur
