Candidates are required to successfully complete the Police Officer Wellness Evaluation Report (POWER Test) administered by the Northeastern Illinois Public Safety Training Academy (NIPSTA) prior to submitting the application packet. There is a non-refundable fee charged by NIPSTA. Applicants are responsible for the fee and for registering to take the test. Visit nipsta.org  for testing dates and additional information. Candidates will not be allowed to take the written examination unless a copy of the NIPSTA POWER Test Identification Card with a date that falls between June 1, 2010 - November 30, 2010 is submitted with the application packet.

STEP 1:

  • Available POWER Test Dates: 10/16 and 11/20

  • Select POWER Test Taker Information

  • Select Schedule and Registration

STEP 2:

  • Complete application packet including all attachments

  • Submit to Village Hall by 11/30/2010

STEP 3:

• Eligible applicants will receive an acknowledgement postcard with test registration code

  • Follow the link huntley.il.us/news/job-opportunities.htm to schedule written exam

STEP 4:

• Attend the mandatory orientation and written examination

  • Present valid drivers license for entry to the written examination
