POLICE OFFICER TESTING

VILLAGE OF HILLSIDE

The Hillside Board of Fire and Police Commissioners is accepting applications for the purpose of establishing an eligibility list for Police Officer.

Applications may be obtained from the office of:

Hillside Village Clerk

425 Hillside Avenue

Hillside, Illinois

Monday through Friday

9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturdays

9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

All completed applications without exception, must be returned to the Village Clerk’s office no later than 12 noon on Saturday, September 17, 2011.  

Prospective applicants must be serious

and meet the following criteria:

1. Must be 21 years of age and under 35; Age hiring limitations imposed by State statute are applicable

2. Must be a U.S. citizen

3. Must have a high school degree or G.E.D. equivalent

4. Must meet the requirements of a background check

5. Must pass a medical, psychological and polygraph test

6. Must have a valid driver’s license at time of hiring

7. Must pay a non-refundable application fee of $20.00 (cash or check) at the time for each application packet picked up

Additional requirements and supporting documentation requested of applicants will be provided as part of the Village’s application packet. 

The application and examination process are subject to the rules and regulations of the Hillside Fire and Police Commissioners.

There will be a MANDATORY ORIENTATION session on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 9 a.m. at:

St. Domitilla School

No admittance will be allowed after 9 a.m.
