DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF
The Village of Hazel Crest, Illinois is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Deputy Fire Chief.
The salary for this position is $72,000 to $85,000, depending on qualifications.
Hazel Crest is a multi-cultural community located approximately 25 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. The Village has a stable population of approximately 14,800. The Deputy Fire Chief is appointed by and serves under the immediate direction of the Fire Chief. Principal duties include overseeing and coordinating department operations and training functions.
The Hazel Crest Fire Department has an authorized strength of 23 full-time personnel, including a Fire Chief, a Deputy Fire Chief, three Lieutenant/Paramedics, 12 Firefighter/Paramedics, one building inspector, one code enforcement officer and three clerical personnel. The department has an annual budget of approximately $2.1 million.
