POLICE OFFICER

VILLAGE OF HAZEL CREST

Qualifications:

• Minimum 21 years of age at time of appointment, maximum 35 years

• of age (except those who qualify for one of the statutory exceptions) 

• High school graduate or equivalent, plus must have earned 30 credit hours from an accredited college or have completed the Illinois Mandatory Basic Training for Police Officers

• New Employees must move within prescribed boundaries 12 months after the successful completion of probation. 

• U. S. citizenship is required

• Valid Illinois Drivers License

Starting Salary:

$44,358.10, with contractual increases annually and benefit package.

Mandatory Orientation:

Location to be announced

The physical aptitude test will be immediately following the orientation. 

Those successfully completing the orientation and physical aptitude test will be invited to take the written exam on Saturday, July 25th, location to be announced.

Applicants will be required to pass the physical aptitude test, written exams, background investigation, oral interview, psychological/polygraph tests, and

physical exam.
