Basic Qualifications:

1. At least 21 years of age at time of application

2. H.S. diploma or equivalent

3. Possess a valid driver’s license

4. Have at least 20/70 vision correctable to 20/20

5. No felony convictions or arrest and misdemeanor convictions or arrest violations

Requirements:

1. Excellent communication/customer service skills

2. Ability to obtain required certifications, including records operations

3. Knowledge of standard office equipment, as well as Microsoft computer programs

4. General typing skills

5. Candidates must satisfactorily pass an in-depth background investigation; after a conditional offer of employment the hiring process will include a polygraph examination, medical examination, drug testing and psychological examination.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Village of Harwood Heights Police Department is seeking qualified individuals to fill a vacancy in its Police Department Records Division. Records and Evidence Officer process and maintain all department records, inventorying of evidence, handle phone inquiries, perform general data entry and other duties as requested.
