FIREFIGHTER EXAMINATION

Application and instruction packets for Firefighter eligibility will be available for pick up in person on Monday, October 3, 2011 through Friday, October 28, 2011 from:

Glenwood Village Hall

One Asselborn Way

Glenwood, Illinois 60425

 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM

There will be a $30.00 application fee (cash only) payable upon receipt of each packet.

Minimum qualifications:

• United States Citizen

• Associates Degree or equivalent in credit hours or military service with an honorable discharge or Firefighter II Paramedic certified in the State of Illinois

• Not less than 21 years of age

• Maximum age of 35 years

Complete Firefighter application packets must be returned to the Village Hall, Clerk’s Office, by 4:30 PM on October 28, 2011.

Applicants must also comply with all Rules and Regulations adopted by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of Glenwood.  Rules and Regulations are available for public viewing upon request from the Clerk’s Office.

Mandatory orientation program for all applicants is scheduled for November 9, 2011 at 7:00 PM at:

Glenwood Village Hall

Physical ability and written test will be conducted on:

November 12, 2011
