FIREFIGHTER EXAMINATIONS

Application and instruction packets for Firefighter eligibility will be available for pick up in person on Monday, April 28, 2008 through Friday, May 9, 2008 from:

 

Glenwood Village Hall

Clerk's Office

One Asselborn Way

Glenwood, Illinois 60425

 

from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

 

There will be a $30.00 application fee (cash only) payable upon receipt of each packet.

 

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • United States Citizen

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Not less than 21 years of age

  • Maximum age of 34 years

  • Firefighter applicants must have State EMT Certification prior to making application

 

Completed Firefighter application packets must be returned to the Village Hall, Clerk's Office, by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2008.

 

Applicants must also comply with all Rules and Regulations adopted by the Board of Fire and Police Commission of the Village of Glenwood.  Rules and Regulations are available for public viewing upon request from the Clerk's Office.
