Fire Inspector (Part-Time)

Village of Glenview

The Village of Glenview is seeking part-time, Fire Inspectors for the Inspectional Services Team within the Development Department.  These positions will be responsible for performing fire and life safety inspections of fire suppression systems, fire alarm systems, hazardous materials permitting, and commercial/residential buildings.  Positions will also conduct inspections during various phases of construction of multi-family residential structures, commercial and industrial projects in order to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.

Requirements include:

• Fire Prevention Officer I certification from the Illinois Office of State Fire Marshall or certification from the International Code Council or National Fire Protection Association as a Fire Inspector I or II

• Possession of a valid Driver’s License is required

• Must be available to work weekends

The salary for this part-time position (up to 16 hours per week) is $23.00 - $27.00/hour DOQ, with no benefits.
