The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners is accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for future openings in the Police Department. The Rules and Regulations of the Board of Commissioners will govern all applicants.

There is a non-refundable $25.00 application fee. The final date to file an application is April 12, 2010.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must:

1. Be a U.S. Citizen

2. Have a High School Diploma or its equivalent

3. Be between the ages of 21 and 34

4. Have a valid driver’s license

5. Be of good moral character and have no felony convictions

6. Be able to successfully complete a written test, an oral board interview, pass a background investigation, psychological and polygraph tests, as well as a pre-employment medical and physical ability examination

7. Meet all of the other requirements of the Fire and Police Commission

Mandatory Orientation will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at:

Fox Lake Volunteer Fire Department Social Club

412 Washington Street

Ingleside, IL

The written exam will be conducted immediately following the orientation meeting.

Starting salary is $47,934.00 with a generous benefit package.
