NOTICE OF EXAMINATION

The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of Forest Park, Illinois, an Equal Opportunity Employer, will conduct an examination to establish an eligibility roster of persons qualified to be appointed to the position of Entry Level Probationary Police Officer with the Forest Park Police Department.

The selection process shall consist of several tests, which will be explained, in detail at a mandatory orientation program commencing at 6:00 PM Thursday, June 23, 2011 in:

Applicant is required to obtain a Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report (POWER) certification no older than one (1) year at the date of application.

APPLICANTS MUST:

• Must be a Citizen of the United States

• Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent

• Not have been convicted of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude.

• Have a good driving record – with a valid driver’s license

• Must be at 21 years of age and shall be under 35 years of age unless exempt from such age limitation as provided in Section 5/10-2.1-6 of the Fire and Police Commissioner’s Act

• Must possess a minimum of 60 semester college credit hours from an accredited College or University.
